We had intercambios with Elder Moody and Elder Sears this
week. We went way hard on talking to people and knocking doors. We found an old
man whose wife died reciently named Luciano. He´s really cool, and I see great
potential in him. We also have quite a bit of cool future investigators we will
be following up on this week. The mission has been doing way great lately. We
always have a goal of 50 baptisms each month, and we already have 25 this
month! It´s awesome.
On Thursday we had Zone Conference. It was definitely one of
my favorites. President Goates shared with us a ton of new ways to find
investigators and stuff the mission is going to start putting in practice to
advance the work. One of the things I really liked was his example of ´Echar la
Red´ (cast the net). Just as Jesus told the apostles to cast the net again even
though there weren´t fish, President told us we should continue to knock doors,
talk with people, even though the first time there may not have been ´fish´. We
did just that and have found some people.. it´s cool. Zone Conference is always
way awesome.
So something that also happened this week... We had lunch with a family and we saw a little bit of the new Avengers movie.. they had it playing (I think they may have illegally downloaded it but whatever). I was like wow.... I really have been gone a long time...spiderman is now in the avengers.. haha.
I´ve continued my study on Christlike attributes, I have been working on patience. There´s some scriptures in Mosiah 24 I really like, that talks about bearing burdens with patience. You should check it out. Just being in a prayerful mindset and thinking about what Christ would do has really made a difference in me, just trying to be humble and patient. It´s fantastic.
I can´t think of anything else to say... Really quickly HUGE SHOUTOUT to Russ for taking the time to get that package here.. I´ll be getting it in a couple of hours from Luis, a man from Mendoza who also works for the church education system. He´s taking the time to drive down to San Rafael to deliver it.. awesome. Thank you!!
Have a good week! The church is true!
love,
Elder Anderson
